Chanting

As we wrote in our first blog post, we live in a vibrational universe – and we always have. Therefore chanting makes a lot of sense.

There are many sounds that are ancient. These sounds create a vibration that is felt by the gods and by the primordial memories of the eternal Source in each of us. They also activate certain energies. When we chant certain words/sounds, the universe listens. In fact everything we say has power – it’s not called spelling for nothing. Hindus have many, many mantras that are chanted for different auspicious occasions, keeping in mind that almost all these sounds had their birth in Sanskrit. Even English words are from ancient sounds – such as A-men.

Nichiren Buddhism has a unique take on it, and as I was a Nichiren Buddhist for 5 years, I experienced at first hand the power of their only  mantra. Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo is the sound of the explanation of everything (according to them). It is chanted with gusto (like galloping horses) and intent (heart and soul). Accordingly, great things happen when one chants everyday. I can vouch for improvements in health, well-being, self control and many other aspects. Chanting this mantra now still invokes that power.

Taoists also have mantras, and Taoist chanting is fundamental to becoming a priest but essentially, for everyday life unnecessary.

Prayer

Prayer is also a form of chanting and highly recommended. If you want something, talk to your higher self, who is directly connected to God. You then need to give permission to receive assistance (free will is respected in mankind). And last, ask for the help you need. Ask your Guardian Angel, the Archangels, Lord Yeshua (Jesus), Buddha – whoever you like. This might surprise you but you can even ask your higher self. You see, in Unity Consciousness we’re all connected, BUT your free will is always respected, so accordingly you must be in your I AM (higher self) and give permission.

It may sound bit tricky but look at it like this – from Buddha, to Taoism to I AM consciousness, it is accepted YOU have the God gene. That means when you were given the spark of life, you were given divinity and so you have far greater power than you know or understand.
